Expand Opportunities for Service Member Success with the Modernized ACE Military Guide!
The American Council on Education’s (ACE) Military Guide has been modernized to streamline credit for military learning practices nationwide! This next evolution in military student support allows you to maximize results for learners and foster clearer pathways to higher education for independent learners. Join us for a live demonstration and see how you can leverage the system’s innovative capabilities!
Participants will:
(1) Observe the re-imagined search function, data integration capabilities, and flexible workflow designed to facilitate efficient credit for military learning processes.
(2) Recognize how the modernized system provides colleges and universities with tailored processes and data to better support the review of Joint Services Transcripts and facilitate the maximum award of academic credit to military-connected learners.
(3) Identify strategies that improve interoperability of data, exchange, and access.
(4) Discover the tools and resources available to support academic users of the ACE Military Guide to include onboarding training materials for colleges and universities, webinars, and community platforms to discuss other innovative ways to better serve you and your military-connected students
(5) Uncover how business and industry can use ACE Military Guide data when evaluating learning outcomes for military service members to connect to the civilian job workforce.
Importance: Data are the foundation to business decisions. The objectives of modernizing the ACE Military Guide include (1) creating an interactive, validated, and trusted environment in which to present detailed learning evaluation outputs to stakeholders (including military Services, postsecondary community, employer/industry groups, and service members/veterans), and (2) integrating academic rubrics and new taxonomy standards to expand transparency of the postsecondary-level learning.
Impact: Removes barriers for all stakeholders in terms of increased consistency and coordination between existing and new data programs; improved data quality, consistency, and utility; elimination of redundant or overlapping data creation, collection, and retention; consolidation of data sources and resources to enhance authoritative value; and congruence and compliance with external data standards and mandates.
Innovation: The government’s investment leads to a model that enables proper use both internally and externally with trusted data sharing partner organizations and systems. This expands data solutions to ensure and increase the enterprise value of data and information assets, improves data utilization and ease of access, and works to transform data into useful and insightful information by promoting the use of data standards and open architecture to enable interoperability and data sharing. This builds a stronger business intelligence platform to innovate opportunities for student success.
