Supporting the Needs of Adult Transfer Students
With over 40 million students that have some credit but no credential, the adult learner market has quickly become a dominant market segment in higher education. However, many institutions are not built to support the unique demands and requirements that this demographic group brings to our campuses. One area where many institutions struggle with pertaining to adult learners is in the transfer space, and in this session we will share the needs adult learners bring to the table related to prior experiences beyond just opportunities for gaining credit - including strategies to better support and implement services that produce outcomes for this important and growing group.
