Description
Redesigning the financial aid SAP policy in Connecticut’s community colleges was a lesson in change management, problem solving, and recovering lost enrollment. The outcome, however, uniquely positioned our colleges to promote student success, address under-prepared students who experience early academic challenges, and intervene on academic difficulty. In addition, this policy change was a driver of shifts in enrollment, persistence, and retention efforts achieved through system-wide partnerships between Academics, Financial Aid, and our Student Success Center.
