Senior SEM Leadership Forum - Part 1
Description
Now in its second year, the Senior Leaders Forum provides an opportunity for the profession's most seasoned practitioners to come together within the SEM Conference for high-level professional development and networking. The format of the Forum is that each of the two sessions begins with a brief presentation of an issue, supported by data, to stimulate conversation about the topic among participants. Methods for this conversation can include small group discussions around aspects of the topic, group work around a whiteboard to outline specific issues or aspects of the topic, a broad general discussion in the room or other means to create a vibrant interaction and deeper understanding of today's most pressing issues.
This year's topic is centered on diversity, inclusion and enrollment. How do we identify and enroll a diverse student body in an environment where political and legal challenges may exist? How do we create environments and supports for the success and completion of a diverse student body, helping all students to thrive in our educational programs and environments? What are the challenges and successes that you have experienced? Where do we think this issue is heading in the next few years? These are all possible directions for the Forum's discussion.
