File Cabinet for Sale: Is It Realistic To Have a 100% Electronic Student Record?
Universite de Montreal, with its 45k students and 13 faculties, has undergone the process of transforming it's paper Student Record to an electronic one, to optimize processes and provide a better student experience. In this project, the security and the confidentiality of the information was the main guideline. This session aims at presenting the different stages of the project, the issues and challenges faced and the points of view of the different stakeholders.
First Learning Outcome: Understand the challenges of going paperless across a decentralized institution
Second Learning Outcome: Identify the pros, cons and pitfalls of the project from different stakeholders' point of view
Third Learning Outcome: Share best practices about institutions' leadership, change management and training for major projects
