A Case for the Digital Delivery of Credential Evaluations
Many institutions rely on credential evaluation agencies to help assess the academic work of international applicants and determine their eligibility for admission. The evaluation report should be treated the same way as a transcript, especially where fraud, security, and efficiency are concerned. This presentation will highlight the advantages of sending and receiving evaluation reports digitally, from both the evaluation agency and university perspectives.
First Learning Outcome: Understand how evaluations of foreign primary-source educational credentials are treated as student data and should be held to similar digital student data delivery and acceptance standards.
Second Learning Outcome: Learn about the relationship between private sector evaluation providers and educational institutions and explore opportunities for interoperability between these stakeholders in student data transfer.
Third Learning Outcome: Understand how institutions accepting digital credential evaluations is in the best interest of the institution as well as the learner.
