Navigating Workplace Trauma: Coping and Decision Making
This session is designed to take a deep and intentional dive into discussions around the impact of some workplace cultures that can create traumatic feelings. This session will present both sides of a discussion around identifying coping tools in order to remain in a current position and or guiding principles that should be considered before deciding to leave an institution or the higher education profession.
First Learning Outcome: Active engagement around workplace behaviors that can be perceived as emotionally distressing potentially to a level of traumatic.
Second Learning Outcome: Coping tools to provide professional decision-making support.
Third Learning Outcome: Guiding principles to assist with job retention or job/industry separation considerations.
