Socio-Academic Integration and What It Means to Your Institution and Your Students
As low-income, rural community college students struggle to find their place & space at their institutions to achieve socio-academic integration, current research fails to fully examine the hardships that are placed on this population of students or how they navigate these environments for ultimate success. This session examines how the low-income, first-year, rural community college students experiences, demands & barriers determine their persistence to graduation & continued enrollment.
