I have been doing transfer articulation for 15 years. When I started at Weber State University (WSU) our transfer articulation process was in dire straits. Some of our transcripts were not processed for several months. Our students were frustrated and the campus needed to make some changes. Over the many years working at WSU I have sought to solve the articulation problem. This presentation will share my journey about how I redesigned the transfer articulation process and how we are processing transcripts on the day they were submitted and completing all articulations in five days.
I have created this presentation in the work of Lee Bolman and Terrance Deal with their theory on Reframing Organizations. I will help participants to understand how to evaluate their transfer articulation processes and how to evaluate their campus environment. Participants will come out of the presentation with skills on how to restructure transfer articulation.
I have presented this topic at the last Transfer Summit and it was very successful. A lot of good conversations and insights into the world of transfer articulation.

Description
Transfer articulation is challenging and complex. Therefore, it is important to view the transfer articulation process from several lenses. Using the work of Lee Bolman and Terrance Deal I will explore how Weber State University developed its articulation process. I will examine the process from four frames, structural, human resources, political, and culture. I will also share how we decided to delete our entire articulation database and start over.
