As the landscape of higher education continues to evolve, so does the role of the Registrar. Once, just a custodian of records, the role of the Registrar has morphed into a much larger presence on our campuses. Through this role, the Registrar connects with faculty, staff, prospective, current, and former students, families, and third-party vendors, to name a few. But at the heart of all of our institutions are our students. These students often require assistance in navigating their educational careers. Many institutions have offices designed to guide students as they adapt to college life. Registrars themselves are in the perfect role to be successful mentors, directly and indirectly, for the students on their campuses. As students' learning needs change and higher education evolves, learn how the Registrar is in an ideal position to mentor students in a multitude of ways to ensure all students are successful.
