Reflecting on Advanced Education, Work, and Gender Pay Inequality for Women

Category

Breakout Sessions

Description

Explore the findings of the presenter's research into what drives women to seek advanced degrees and discuss how their exceptional educational credentials did not elevate them above the systems and structures that perpetuate gender inequality in the world of work. We will reflect on our experience as higher ed professionals, the ways our profession plays a role in maintaining systems of inequity that disadvantage our graduates, and how we can be agents of change. All are encouraged to participate.
