Description
For first-generation students, college success has been improved by various Prior Learning Exams (PLA's). However, after admission, many from this cohort struggle to fit in and can benefit from mentoring. What few people know is that these concepts can work together to achieve student success. By combining PLA with mentoring, The University of Texas at Dallas has forged a partnership that produces a continual chain of first-generation scholars.
