Keeping SEM on Track in a Pandemic: Building Engagement for Planning, Implementing, and Sustaining
Category
Workshop
Description
Operationally, the pandemic has required reactive attention to the immediate rather than proactive attention to the strategic. Eight hours of Zoom meetings about COVID-19 response easily distracts leadership, committees, and teams from the work of planning and implementing SEM.
This workshop will deal with keeping institutional leadership engaged with SEM as a campus-wide enterprise tool while operationally applying COVID lessons learned to adjust SEM plans on the fly. Participants will explore how to manage initiative fatigue by using a concept called LinkEX to link and integrate multiple initiatives with SEM to extend benefit for the institution. Content will include best practices for building and supporting effective SEM planning committees and implementation teams as the cornerstone of a proactive response to enrollment health in the face of a pandemic.
This will be an interactive workshop with the opportunity for participants to engage with the presenters and each other to share experiences and explore solutions to problems encountered in the current crisis. Appropriate for both enrollment leaders and staff.
