Description
The COVID-19 crisis and the renewed emphasis on racial justice issues following the George Floyd murder have created unprecedented upheaval across the business, government, and education sectors. Higher education, along with other industries, was forced to pivot quickly as lock down orders cascaded across the country. This universal disruption has pushed leaders and individuals to push through the fog of uncertainty. This event is what author Bruce Feiler calls a lifequake-an earthquake in our lives. The insights provided in his book Life is in the transitions: Mastering change at any age, will serve as the framework for this session. Attendees can expect to find applications to their professional and personal circumstances. Discussion of topics like meaning-making, creativity and learning to dance in the rain will be central to this session.
