Description
This presentation will:
1. Describe the importance and value of integrating SEM within institutional strategic planning processes and
utilizing assessment results to enhance capacity building within undergraduate and graduate admissions, marketing and communications, student retention, and financial aid.
2. Summarize the importance of monitoring the external environment and the evolving needs of the institution’s constituencies. Interpret the outcome of the environmental analysis through making critical linkages in strategic planning and assessment processes that improve SEM outcomes and engage campus-wide involvement, collaboration, and build ownership of enrollment processes.
3. Demonstrate how strong linkages between the strategic planning process and assessment will enhance SEM efficiency and sustainability, improve outcomes, and create a powerful mechanism for continuous improvement and campus-wide engagement.
4. Provide a thorough discussion of lessons learned and present examples of how this process worked.
5. Using practical examples the presenter will show how to organize for strategic planning and how to link assessment plans to SEM initiatives and strategies. The audience will have helpful tools to take back to their home institutions
