American-ish Universities Outside the United States: How “American” Are They?
Category
Session
Description
This session will address FAQ’s surrounding the status of so-called “American universities” that are not located in the United States. Are they domestic (US)? Are they international? Which country do they belong to? And how can a US accreditor accredit a foreign institution? International credential evaluation colleagues will discuss many facets of this complex issue and share their best practice approaches and evaluation policies on “American universities” abroad.
