Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment Management Position Statement
It would be my honor to serve AACRAO as Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment Management. I value collaboration and take pride in being an active member of AACRAO where I have served in different capacities for the last decade including
- SEM-EP Evaluator,
- Criminal & Disciplary History in College Admissions Work Group member,
- Coordinator of Admissions and Enrollment Management Program Committee,
- Annual Conference Evaluations Chair,
- Student Academic Records Professional Activities Committee
- Conference Presenter
Additionally my experience and skillset have prepared me to serve in this role. They include:
Leadership
Lead the learning technology support, quality matters review of online courses, and ombudsman process for digital learning. Previously managed all operation of the division of strategic enrollment management including recruitment, admissions, new student orientation, week of welcome, academic services, community outreach, financial aid and scholarships, records and registrar, career and testing center, undergraduate advising center, student tutoring and retention services, disabilities resource center, university success seminar, and McNair scholars program.
Organization
Responsible for creating an enrollment management division for a four-year public institution. Built a sense of collaboration and team focused initiatives across departments and disciplines.
Student Success
Record enrollment and increased retention of at risk students occurred during my tenure as the leader of enrollment management and student success. Provided instruction in university success seminar courses for over a decade.
System Implementation
Led implementation teams for three student information systems, two degree audit systems, advising software, syllabus content management system, and one customer relations management system. All implementations were successful and completed on time or ahead of schedule.
Communication
Presented numerous sessions at professional meetings and staff development trainings. Created and implemented a recruitment communication flow to prospective students. Article published in professional peer-reviewed journal.
With my background in admissions and enrollment management, I believe that I have the knowledge and experience necessary to build upon the history of excellence that has been created by the AACRAO board. I would welcome the opportunity to serve the AACRAO membership as Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment Management.
