Brandy Piner
Senior Associate Registrar at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
Nominations and Elections Committee Position Statement
I have had an amazing opportunity to serve at diverse institutions over the last twenty years. I currently lead a dynamic team of individuals in my role as Senior Associate Registrar at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. I have also worked at York Technical College as Registrar and East Carolina University as Assistant Registrar. I have been active in the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (CACRAO), serving on the Executive Committee from 2007-2013 to include the roles of Vice President for Registrars, Treasurer-Elect and Member-at-Large. I have been an active member of the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (SACRAO) since 2005 and currently serve on the Executive Committee as Secretary. My most recent position has given my an opportunity to be an active presenter and session committee member in the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (TACRAO). My work with AACRAO includes session presentations and a new faculty member for Registrar-101.
If elected to serve AACRAO in this role, I would want to select a diverse, qualified slate that represents the mission, vision and values of AACRAO. To continue moving the organization forward and representing the ever-changing climate of higher education, it is important to select individuals who can continue to evolve in the current environment, as well as promote and advance the platform set forth by the organization.
