Mrs Tiffany Robinson
Assistant Vice Provost/University Registrar at The University of Kansas
President-Elect Position Statement
I am Tiffany Robinson, the Assistant Vice Provost and University Registrar at the University of Kansas. My AACRAO journey began in 2009 and has been one of the most rewarding of my professional career! Each year I return from the annual meeting energized and inspired, thanks in part to reconnecting and learning from both the AACRAO membership and the valuable mentors I have connected with during my time in this organization.
For the past two years, I have served on the Board of Directors (BOD) as the Vice President for Access and Equity and would be honored to continue my service to the membership and the organization as the next President-elect. During my time on the BOD, we have seen the creation of the Women’s Caucus, which was successfully launched at the 2019 Annual Meeting. Other successes have been the addition of the Diversity Statement to the Strategic Plan, and the AACRAO office diversity assessment that occurred last year.
I am proud of my affiliation with AACRAO and have been an active member since joining. I have served on both the Professional Access and Equity Committee and the Black Caucus. In addition; I also served as the Chair of both committees from 2015 – 2017 and in 2017, I was honored to be awarded the Emerging Leader Award. I am especially proud of the Leaders in Enrollment Advancing Diversity initiative (L.E.A.D) that was launched last fall. This umbrella program seeks to advance leadership by focusing on diversity in the higher education profession. One of the initiatives under the LEAD umbrella is ASCEND. ASCEND is designed to prepare mid-level professionals to take the next steps in their Enrollment Management Leadership journey. I have had the privilege of partnering closely with the LEAD Curriculum workgroup and I am eager to see our hard work come to fruition with the first cohort of the ASCEND program.
Collaboration, Inclusiveness and Innovation (CII) are my values and contribution to AACRAO thus far, and I am pleased to have an opportunity to continue my contributions with the membership and the organization. As an active listener, I will remain focused on the membership and advocate on your behalf as needed. I will maintain a collaborative work environment with the AACRAO office and the Board of Directors to ensure transparency and thoughtful decision making. And finally, I will continue to focus my efforts on the areas of Diversity and Inclusion, Student Success and supporting the Mission, Vision and Values of AACRAO. I look forward to seeing what this year holds for the Board and AACRAO.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I would be honored to continue to serve the membership that has given so much to me in my professional career!
