Increasing Access to Study Abroad for Student Success
Category
Session
Description
The personal and academic benefits of study abroad for students are many. As a high-impact educational practice, global learning is linked to student engagement, retention and degree completion; and research shows that the positive impacts are increased for underrepresented students. Major national initiatives and certain professional associations seek increased access to study abroad. This session explores what can be done at the institutional level and facilitates group discussion of new ideas.
