Harnessing the Power of Your CRM to Support SEM Plan Implementation
Category
Session
Description
In the last 12 - months, Central Washington University implemented both a new CRM ("Slate") and a new Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan. This presentation will provide practical resources for institutions considering a switch to a new CRM or re-configuring their current CRM. Focus will be placed on aligning the CRM configuration and use of data analytics to support the SEM plan. This presentation will limit application to the new student recruitment goals of the SEM plan.
Jerry Brown, multiple-term Governor of California, is crediting with saying: “The reason that everybody likes planning is that nobody has to do anything.” Although it takes an immense amount of effort to develop a strategic enrollment plan, the plan is only the beginning. This presentation helps institutions consider how they will implement aspects of their SEM plan, focusing on configuration of their CRM in a manner that supports the data insights and KPIs needed to monitor progress toward goals. The SEM plan goals being discussed will include growth in new student enrollments, including first year, transfer, regional campus transfer, online, and residential/non-residential as well as growth in traditionally underrepresented student populations.
Attendees interested in learning how a mid-size public institution is leveraging their CRM (Slate) to support the implementation of aspects of their SEM plan should consider this presentation.
