Description
This interactive session will share insight on research that focuses on factors that can help predict student persistence. In addition, insight will be provided about cognitive and non-cognitive(SEL) barriers to success, the importance of diagnosing these barriers and then intervening to remediate and maximize retention/completion rates. Come learn how some user friendly web based diagnostic and learning tools can immediately be applied to practice upon your return to your campuses.
1. The need: graduation rates at both 2 year and 4 year schools continue to be a challenge. This session will provide insight into research and strategies to help improve student success.
2. The unique aspects: ACT research and student success strategies, to help with student success, are either no-cost or low-cost and provide a high degree of efficacy.
3. Participants will leave this session with valuable evidence based insight on predictors of student success and insight on easily implementable solutions to help with student success.
