Description
The college admissions landscape has never been more complex. Creating pathways for underrepresented and adult student populations to access college opportunity has become critical for the survival of higher education institutions. Reaching these audiences requires lowering both the logistical and systemic barriers in applying to college. Learn how Common App and Reach Higher, a college access and success initiative started by former First Lady Michelle Obama during her time in the White House, are helping to increase college access and transfer admissions for first-generation and low income students as well as veterans and other adult learners by streamlining the application process, supporting those who support students with comprehensive tools, connecting students to financial aid and scholarship resources, and building evidence-based college access campaigns that celebrate stories of underrepresented students who have navigated their way to and through a postsecondary credential.
Improving pathways for students requires addressing logistical and systemic barriers to college access and transfer. As the higher education landscape evolves, Common App has continuously leveraged technology to serve millions of applicants and recommenders annually.
Learn how Common App and Reach Higher have united to: build evidence-based college access campaigns; connect students with college planning, financial aid, and scholarship resources; and help colleges and universities utilize data and insights learned from across the membership to improve admissions and enrollment outcomes. We’ll also discuss how we are supporting those who support students with new resources and expanded partner integrations and recent initiatives to create a culture of celebrating student success.
