Description
Over the past twenty years we have enjoyed and benefited from a heavy investment in technology to support the electronic exchange of education data. However, due to a variety of reasons, in recent years we have seen the rise of PDF as a delivery format far overshadow the increase in adoption of data exchange systems. In fact, the exchange of data in machine readable form as hit a plateau. With new higher ed initiatives such as the Comprehensive Learner Record, micro-credentials, competency-based education, and the development of the atomic record, so comes the need to begin outlining strategies and approaches to reignite electronic exchange of education records so that we may again benefit for the automation and SPEEDE provides.
