Description
With campuses and centers across the globe, the administration of the University of Chicago can be said to never sleep. Business decisions are considered in innumerable venues at all hours of the day, by officers, directors, faculty and staff, all requiring supporting data that is not only readily available, but can be drilled into for predictive analysis and collaborating research. To meet this demand, the Registrar and other data stewards have designed an interactive reporting tool that covers both the breadth and the depth of student and academic information.
Based on the traditional institutional "Fact Book", the new online reporting tool provides core data from the central student and human resources systems of record, as well as integrated systems that support admissions, enrollment, housing, scholarships, fellowships, study abroad, student discipline, career advancement, and alumni-giving in a variety of visualizations that can be drilled into by the user establishing business protocols for joining disparate data formats. Upon roll-out, the 100 plus reports, will provide the University administration a window into the student life cycle.
