Description
The University of Iowa developed an academic planning tool that allows students to build custom plans of study for their academic career based on a central authoritative database of sample or recommended plans for degree completion. This tool also includes a course cart and schedule builder that has streamlined and simplified the registration process for students and has proven to be a valuable advising tool. The project was a collaborative effort that included Information Technology Services, Advising, and Registrar with invaluable input from our collegiate and administrative campus partners. In this follow-up to last year’s session we will share lessons learned, adoption rates by students and advisors, and how we are using real-time aggregate data for demand analysis, resource planning, and identifying barriers to degree completion.
