"Mapping" Student Success

Category

Technology > Session

Description

Let's take a look at two University of Oregon projects that utilize campus maps in concert with other technologies to enhance student success. The first will include a demo, discussion and usage stats of the MyClassMap application that ties real time course/exam registration to our campus map buildings and interior classroom locations. The second project will review UO Duck Food Cache, student food sustainability/scarcity catered event texting notification and location mapping tool. This work builds off of ideas and work from Johns Hopkins and HSU’s Oh SNAP! Program. Come map with me, brainstorm and share other ideas for future usage of maps to aid our students in their education journeys.
