Description
The University of Washington Bothell admits transfer students directly to majors. By partnering with the programs and allowing our admission advisors to specialize by department, we understand the preparation needed for success and work with prospective students through the application and admission process advising them on course selection prior to enrollment. Using tools within our CRM as well as homegrown transfer planning worksheets, our work often mirrors the work of pre-major advisors, who guide internal students through their first and second years at the university. UW Bothell is also working on academic maps that will help students understand the big picture in course planning. Altogether, these efforts will lead to more consistent advising for transfer students and internal first-year students, and ultimately impact the success of all students seeking admission to their majors.
