Description
The NCAA tracking is a custom component that allows the UH Office of the University Registrar, Athletics and Academic Advisors a one component view of all the necessary elements of an athlete’s student records with analytics that verify progress towards degree as required by NCAA progression rules.
Since our last presentation, we will review the new fields and logic that have been added: applying Transfer Credit, Test Credit and the ability to better customize what credit applies to the degree progress, each semester. The component now verifies when a student changes their major within the certification semester and continues to record audit trail details when users make changes in order to maintain NCAA compliance requirements.
While sharing the more practical aspects of how the new functionality saves time and effort, we will also share some insight into the continued effort to eliminate paper processing.
