In higher education institutions, the interplay between technical staff and functional stakeholders is foundational to operational success, but frequently misunderstood. This session unpacks the "translation gap" that exists between these groups and positions attendees as agents of change capable of fostering shared understanding, trust, and innovation. Through humorous reflections, practical strategies, and case examples, attendees will learn how to navigate, and even embrace, the awkwardness of cross-disciplinary collaboration in higher education.
