Direct Admissions is the Way: Cal State Direct Admissions Pilot

The California State University (CSU) system partnered with the Riverside County Office of Education to launch the first-ever direct admission pilot in both CSU and California history. For the fall 2025 term, eligible students from every public high school in Riverside County were offered guaranteed admission to a CSU campus—before submitting a formal application. This session will explore the foundational conditions that made the pilot possible, outline the direct admission process, and examine the impacts on participating high schools and CSU campuses.
