What If We Knew? Forecasting Post-Grad Outcomes from Pre-Enrollment and First-Year Data
Combining pre-enrollment funnel, 1st fall and 1st year GPA, 2nd fall retention and post-grad placement data, the study explores potential for early detection of students that will struggle securing meaningful employment or continued education after graduation. Early at-risk identification models using pre-enrollment data have already helped strengthen the infrastructure for academic support. Developing a parallel model focused on long-term student outcomes could inform proactive, equity-minded career advising and resource allocation throughout the student lifecycle.
