Nominations and Elections Committee Position Statement


As an active AACRAO member since 2000, I recognize the importance that the Nominations and Elections (N&E) Committee plays within the organization through its role of presenting to the membership a strong slate of candidates for both Board of Directors (BOD) and N&E Committee positions representing all AACRAO constituencies.  I believe that my varied ways of serving AACRAO over the years from serving on Professional Activities Committees including chairing the Federal Compliance Committee, presenting at the Annual Meeting and the Technology/Transfer Conference, attending the Strategic Enrollment Management Conference, having articles and chapters published in AACRAO publications, serving as the Member-at-Large for the BOD’s Audit Committee, greeting new Annual Meeting attendees during the First Time Attendees Orientation and Welcome, and serving as a faculty member for both the online and in-person REG-101 course, has afforded me a good view of what opportunities AACRAO provides to its members and what type of people are needed to lead the organization.  It is an honor to be nominated and I would welcome this opportunity to serve the AACRAO membership by being elected to the Nominations and Elections Committee.
