Ms Kristy Goodwin
Director, College Pathways Program at Governors State University
Vice President at Large Position Statement
I have been an active member of AACRAO for over 14 years. I have always believed in the mission and vision of this organization. My qualifications are aligned by my strengths which is why and how I identify my commitment to AACRAO. I am a RELATOR, I connect and have built quality, and intimate relationships with leaders of AACRAO who are highly accessible extending professional advice to me when needed. These relationships have aided me in my day-to-day challenges within my institution. I BELIEVE in the annual leadership conference where collaboration with various institution leaders in the country intentionally follow AACRAO's mission on building and providing leadership, professional development, as well as access and equity in academic and enrollment services. I am STRATEGIC in planning and distinctly thinking about what will help to get our members to serve and lead within this organization. Whether it’s chairing a committee or presenting at a conference, members should see AACRAO as their one-stop-shop for information needed to make their service at their institutions effective. I am a LEARNER, seeking ways of getting members to see AACRAO as a hallmark association for their needs, not just due paying members. Finally, I am an ACTIVATOR serving as the Black Caucus Chair the past three years, I have maintained and increased membership by creating officers and initiatives to captivate its members on being active participants of AACRAO.
As the Vice President Elect, I will not only carry the diligence and commitment of my predecessor, but I will be committed to adhering to the responsibilities set before me. I graciously accept this nomination for VP @ Large, and I hope my strengths and commitment to AACRAO is a testament to my faithfulness and ability in helping move AACRAO forward.
