Dual Credit Students: College Bound or Not? A Qualitative Analysis
The primary objective of this research is to ascertain whether the perceived sense of belonging among high school dual credit students influences their decision to pursue the completion of their certification/degree at their local community college. The concept of students' perceptions regarding their "fit" within an environment has been a subject of research for an extensive period, and the significance of belonging has garnered recognition and investigation over the years.
First Learning Outcome: What motivates dual credit students to continue their post-secondary education at the local community college after they graduate from high school?
Second Learning Outcome: How does their sense of belonging experience as a dual credit student help determine their decision to continue into post-secondary education?
