School of Record Relationships in Education Abroad
This session will explore School of Record relationships in education abroad. What is an SOR? Why do they exist? How can they benefit students and institutions? What are the potential pitfalls? Using a case study approach, participants will examine implications for matriculation, course equivalency, credit transfer and financial aid. The "Guidelines for School of Record Relationships" document, created through a joint taskforce of AACRAO and the Forum on Education Abroad, will frame the session.

Second Learning Outcome: Understand the benefits and challenges of entering into school of record relationships.
Third Learning Outcome: Gain familiarity with a joint AACRAO-Forum on Education Abroad guidelines document for school of record relationships.
