When Dollars Make Sense: Activating Engagement and Influencing Outcomes through Micro-scholarship Strategies and Nudges
Micro-scholarships help shape student outcomes from admission to graduation. We will discuss how such scholarships, a multi-attribute scoring model, and in-house incentive optimization influenced enrollment behaviors from the inquiry stage and through the full enrollment lifecycle. Specifically, they aided financial aid counseling strategies that enlivened student engagement, doubling AP test and CSS profile submissions, reducing registration holds in half, and creating a disciplined and rigorous approach to appeals and competing awards of overlap institutions.
