Academic Advising and SEM: Consider Us Partners

Academic advising has evolved greatly over the past two decades and plays a crucial role in managing enrollment. At times, there is confusion about the role of academic advisors. Academic advisors are critical partners in helping students to persist and reach their goals. But what is academic advising, really? Using a systems thinking approach, this panel will explore how academic advising is fundamental to strategic enrollment management. We’ll discuss the often nebulous, sometimes fraught, and certainly powerful role that academic advising plays in SEM.
