The Great Opt-Out: Why Is the College-Going Rate Dropping, and What Can We Do About It?
While a growing number of students are opting out of college, nobody is sure exactly why, which makes identifying potential solutions difficult. Our session will examine causes of nonconsumption and gauge their relative importance, with special attention paid to problems that admissions teams are best positioned to address. Information presented will include findings from an original survey of nonconsumers and solution-based case studies.
