A Seismic Shift: Academic Advising to Student Success Coaching
As the pipeline for traditional incoming university students shrinks, a mid-sized private faith-based, Hispanic-serving university in Southern California made a major shift in its advising model to mitigate the potential losses incumbent within a shrinking population. This presentation discusses strategies and processes employed to facilitate an emergent structure and the importance of identifying key performance indicators to serve as barometers of the effectiveness of new initiatives.
