Study Abroad 101 for Registrars
In this introductory session, essential information about study abroad will be presented. Among discussion points are recent trends in study abroad, varied program models, sample credit transfer practices, transcripts courses taken at foreign institutions, school-of-record relationships, faculty-led program considerations, and international grade appeals. Attendees will also be introduced to AACRAO study abroad resources, including publications, listservs, and the study abroad committee.
First Learning Outcome: Understand the basic principles of study abroad registration and transcripts
Second Learning Outcome: Become aware of resources and develop a small peer network for study abroad registration and transcripts
Third Learning Outcome: Become familiar with trends in study abroad and their connections to registrars' offices.
