This session explores how enhancing data from the National Student Clearinghouse with institutional characteristics from IPEDs and distance mapping between student and institutional locations can help improve competition analysis. A predictive model is designed to better understand student mobility and identify students that are more likely to move out of state for their higher education, and profiles are compared for mobile and stay-at-home-state students.
