Changes in strategic plans, frameworks and governance can bring about moments of reflection in enrolment for a school. At York University, Canada’s 3rd largest public post-secondary school, evolving demographics and changes in government funding brought upon the refresh of their multi-year SEM plan and governance structure. This presentation offers a reflection on the process, highlights the need for debunking the meaning of “SEM” and emphasizes the need to aligning culture behind common goals.
